What is this?

A way for people to contribute design, code, and content to the system.

Context

As a system matures, it's common to open it up for contributions, similar to an open source project. This has a number of benefits:

• The system will get more diverse feedback and input for improvement
• The load of working on the system can be better distributed as people have time to work on it
• It helps to build a shared community for designers and developers
• It improves adoption of the system. People who contribute are more likely to adopt
